去年 8 月，微软官方博客宣布： 2019 年 7 月 1 日微软将停止更新 Windows Phone 8 应用，到 2023 年 7 月 1 日微软就将停止更新 Windows 8 商店应用。微软最近更新了它的博客文章，将Windows 8 应用停止更新时间提前到 7 月 1 日，与 Windows Phone 8 相同，而 Windows 8.1 应用停止更新时间则仍然是此前宣布的 2023 年 7 月 1 日。
