What you need to know before installing Android 11
This is beta software and although it's been quite stable in my personal experience, you may face some issues. Installing the Android 11 Beta 1 won't erase data on your phone but it's always recommended to take a back up before you install it. If for some reason, you decide you want to downgrade and install Android 10 again, you'll have to wipe all locally saved data from your phone. Here's how to install Android 11 on your Google Pixel phone
Head over to the Android Beta page and make sure you're signed in with the same Google account as the one on your Pixel phone. You'll need to do this even if you'd previously signed up for the Android 10 beta program.
Once signed up, you can check your eligible devices by tapping on the "View your eligible devices" tab at the top of the page. This will show all the Pixel devices associated with your account that are eligible for the Android 11 Beta 1 update.
Now tap on "Opt in". This will pop open a T&C page that'll also warn you about how you might face issues with the Beta software.
Once you agree to the terms and conditions and opt in, your Pixel device will receive an OTA update for the Beta 1 within 24 hours. Now getting access to Android 11 is as easy as downloading the 1.34GB update and installing it. Make sure your phone has at least 50% battery before you install the update.
Being a part of the Android 11 Beta 1 program, Google says you can expect to receive up to 8 beta updates before you get the final stable update. If at any point you want to step out of the Android 11 Beta program, you can head over to the Android beta page and tap on "Opt out". After doing so, you'll receive an OTA update that will restore Android 10 to your Pixel device. But keep in mind that doing so will wipe all the data from your phone.
If you don't own a Pixel, you'll have to wait for your respective smartphone OEM to announce a beta program for your device. At the time of writing, OPPO has already announced its Android 11 Beta program for the OPPO Find X2 that is expected to go live by the end of June. Expect announcements from other smartphone companies soon.
