Abia Warriors goalkeeper Charles Tambe shot in Ibadan

Abia Warriors goalkeeper Charles Tambe is as of now getting treatment at the University Teaching Hospital (UCH), Ibadan after he was shot by hooligans on Friday.
Tambe came back to Ibadan to rejoin with his family following the suspension of the Nigeria Professional Football League due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As per the announcement gave by Abia Warriors' wearing executive Patrick Ngwaogwu, the previous Shooting Stars and Lobi Stars goalkeeper was shot on his way for his morning exercise schedule.
"He can't scoundrel. He took his morning exit at about 07:00 at the beginning of today in Apata zone, Ibadan where he remains with his family," Ngwaogwu stated, per BSN Sport.
"They addressed him and gathered his wristwatch and handset. Furthermore, shot him on the hand.
"He is by and by in UCH, getting treatment. The club is especially on the circumstance."
Tambe joined the Umuahia-based outfit last September, and he as of late showed up in a video posted by the club asking fans to remain safe in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
