Samsung Galaxy S20 Lite to launch in October: Report
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S20 Lite in October, according to a new report. The upcoming Samsung phone could be the rumoured Galaxy S20 Fan Edition and it could even be called Galaxy S20 Pen Edition.
This comes from a report by South Korea’s ETNews that says the Galaxy S20 Lite will be a watered down and affordable version of Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S20 series. The report also suggests the smartphone’s name as Galaxy S20 Pen Edition. This hints at an S-Pen that could come bundled with the Galaxy S20 Lite. It’s weird though since the S-Pen belongs to the Galaxy Note series.
Samsung also launched the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite smartphones of its previous flagship phones. It looks like Samsung is going to continue this segment. As far as specs are concerned, the Galaxy S20 Lite could come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 and run Android 10 with One UI 2.5 on top. The smartphone is also said to pack 128GB storage capacity.
The report also confirms the launch of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 in August. Samsung could launch a Galaxy Note 20 Lite in the future as well. More Samsung products in the pipeline include the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Buds X which could both launch at the Samsung event in August.
