MIUI 12 stable update roll out begins for Redmi phones.
Xiaomi’s Redmi has begun rolling out MIUI 12 stable update for its handsets.
Redmi on its official Weibo account confirmed the roll-out but did not confirm which phones were going to get the update first. According to the official list of MIUI 12 compatible devices, Redmi K series phones will first receive the update.
Other compatible Redmi phones are Redmi Note 9 series, Redmi Note 8 series, Redmi Note 7 series, Redmi Note 6 series, and Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro. Redmi 8, Redmi 7 and Redmi 6 phones are also scheduled to receive the update. Redmi will also roll out MIUI 12 stable update for Redmi Y series excluding the Redmi Y1.
The MIUI 12 update will mark 10th anniversary of Xiaomi’s custom ROM. The stable version will bring a wide range of new features along with a refined interface, reports Gizmochina.
The update will bring floating windows support for multi-tasking. Some of the other features include an updated Dark Mode, new camera app, and new privacy tools.
The update is rolling out for handsets in China and is likely to be available in other markets very soon.
